Requirements
Students who take both JPN 301 and JPN 302 must pass a minimum of 37 credits to fulfill the major requirements; students who test out of JPN 301 must pass a minimum of 33 credits and those who test out of JPN 302 or more advanced language courses must pass a minimum of 28 credits. Advanced language skill courses (JPN 301 to JPN 407 and JPN 415 , JPN 420 and JPN 421 ) are normally limited to non-native speakers of Japanese. Students who place out of the advanced language courses are required to choose additional electives to fulfill the 28 credits required for the major.
